Which season is it?

A month ago I was posting about the odd October snow storm we had here on the east coast. Now I'm posting about a warm spell. We're putting up Christmas decorations, and it's in the mid 60s. The past few days I've actually gone to the beach. This is some crazy stuff. I was talking with a friend of mine, who is a meteorology major, and he told me that his professor had them read an article that concluded that the incidence of extreme weather events are on the rise. As soon as I get a hold of that paper, I will write about it.
